Make It Better

Make It Better are one of Chicago’s most successful online & offline publications. This incredible philanthropic organisation has raised over $4 million and counting for not-for-profit organisations throughout the States. Make It Better approached the That London Agency team to help develop their online reach to increase profits for charities and other good causes, naturally we jumped at the opportunity to work with such an incredible charitable venture.

What we did

What we did

We embarked on developing & integrating a full marketing, Ad and sales strategy within the ever expanding Make It Better team. We worked closely with the team as we performed in a complete rebrand & online relaunch across all platforms, including website, email marketing and social media.

An added extra came when we suggested they expand their offerings beyond the publication with the ‘Shop For Good’ concept. The concept being that they develop and online shop with individual vendors and have a certain amount of revenue per sale going to the Make It Better charities. Business development is something we always offer and actually comes to the table fairly naturally. We are always looking to help a brand grow beyond their Ad/marketing efforts. In the case of Make It Better having spent a few months analysing their business model and getting to know their audience & seeing how involved their local communities were involved with the brand, we spotted a gap for everyone. We suggested that as well as the rebrand & rebuild, we launch ‘Shop For Good’. Not only did it provide independent vendors with their first online retail presence but it also enabled them to reach new customers and contribute to good causes.

We continued to support during the launch and expansion. We look forward to helping Make It Better again in the near future as they look to expand further across the United States, doing good where they can!
